Terunobu Fujimori: Architecture with Nature, and "ROJO"

Story of Taneya Nogei (agriculture+art) farming: "agriculture is art!"

March 18 (Sat.), 2017

The kanji character "藝 gei (art, performance)" also means "to give a hand to plant and grow plants." Following the idea that materials of confectionery are brought up in agriculture and become "藝 gei" by using one' s hands, Taneya's nogei activities are wide-ranging, including growing yomogi (mugwort), vegetables and rice, arranging mountain grasses in pots to display them at the store so that visitors can sense a change in the seasons, and managing/maintaining Fujimori architecture and trees which are making good use of natural cycles. Activities of Taneya farming that observe the four seasons closely involving many people are introduced.
