Mito Chamber Orchestra Concert for Children

October 18 (Thu.), 2018

The Mito Chamber Orchestra (MCO), with the goal of getting children to experience the thrill of listening to a live orchestral performance, puts on a concert every year for some 2,500 fifth-graders from Mito City and surrounding communities. Besides playing music, the members also talk to the pupils about their instruments and the pieces being played, letting them know what it is like to be in an orchestra. The concert--given this year for the fourteenth time--is being produced in conjunction with the ensemble's 102nd Regular Concert at Art Tower Mito.
