■ The visit of Ursula Holliger(Harp) to Japan, who was supposed to appear this regular concert, has been canceled due to her health condition. For this reason, "Double Concerto for Oboe, Harp and Chamber Orchestra" by Lutosławski will not be performed. Instead, "Oboe d'amore Concerto in A major, BWV1055R" by J.S.Bach will be played.

The master oboist Heinz Holliger—who swept the Mito audience off its feet with his brilliant technique during the visit of the Swiss Chamber Soloists to Japan in 2010—will return to Mito to make his first joint performance with the MCO. The concert will feature a concerto by the famous oboist Lebrun, a contemporary of Mozart’s. Additional pieces by Haydn and Bartók complete the evening’s program. Heinz Holliger will appear as both soloist and conductor.
