Katsuhiko Hibino “HIBINO CUP”

Participants in this annual workshop can enjoy both art and sports together. In the morning, each team of participants makes soccer goals, ball and uniforms using corrugated cardboard and packing materials. In the afternoon, they enjoy playing the original mini-soccer game. Parents, children and friends can enjoy the game together.
Date: Saturday, August 29; 10:00-16:00

■ Let’s experience art in summer! “kodomo korabo rabo 2015”
A two-day project will be conducted for elementary and junior high school students on summer vacation and their families to enjoy both art and Art Tower Mito, following the success of the event last year. Workshops, viewing tours programs are prepared. Participants can participate in any combination of programs as they like.

Dates: Saturday and Sunday, August 22 and 23, 10:00-16:30 (Reception begins at 9:30.)
Venue: Contemporary Art Gallery, ACM Theatre, Entrance Hall and others, Art Tower Mito
Participants: Elementary and Junior High School children and their family members

26th Goken Summer Night Concert & Fureai (Get-together) Festival

A summer musical festival in the Goken area of Mito City. Performances will be given on the stage set up within the ATM Plaza by various musical groups, including choruses composed of local kindergarteners, grade school students, junior high school students, and high school students. Demonstrations will also be made by groups established for the preservation of traditional performance arts.
