Free ATM Tower admission for schoolchildren
(through 9th grade) on Children's Day

May 5 (Tue.),2015

On May 5, which marks the Children's Day holiday in Japan, schoolchildren through 9th grade are allowed to visit the observation deck of the tower at Art Tower Mito for free (normally costing 100 yen).

Maybe you'll discover something new when viewing, from a high place, the city landscape that you are used to seeing from the ground. We look forward to getting a lot of visitors to the tower on Children's Day this year, including your family members and your friends!

Art Tower Mito Tower (Symbol Tower)

In commemoration of Mito City's 100th anniversary as an official city, the height of the tower at Art Tower Mito was set at 100 meters. The spiral form of the tower, reaching for the heavens, is meant to symbolize the movement from the past toward the future, and from tradition toward creation. The glass-enclosed observation deck, affording a fine view over Mito City, is situated at a height of 86.4 meters from the ground, and can be reached by an elevator having a capacity of ten persons. It is run by the Mito Arts Foundation.
