This was the first full-scale solo exhibition in Japan by Hidetishi Nagasawa, an internationally working, Milan-based sculptor.
It consisted of 17 pieces selected from 25 years of his production, including Colonna in 1972, famous works not yet displayed in Japan and new works for this occasion, such as Voluta and Ombra di angelo. The exhibits were placed not only in the Gallery but in the Entrance Hall and outdoors. They were never too small in number. The exhibition space was thickly filled with the art of Nagasawa. Different materials (marble, brass, paper, gold, iron, wax, wood) wholly attested the richness of expression rather than their variety. The Nagasawa style was found in his treatment of each material. The exhibition made it possible to visually experience an artistic view the singular artist had come to hold. Incidentally, Oro di Ofir was reproduced for the exhibition after an interval of 22 years.
