Krystian Zimerman Piano Recital

One of the most lauded living pianists, Krystian Zimerman won the Grand Prize at the 1975 Chopin International Piano Competition as a mere 18-year-old, making him the youngest person ever to win that competition (at the time). Since then, he has pursued solo activities as a pianist worldwide, including appearing in concerto performances under such eminent conductors as Seiji Ozawa, Leonard Bernstein, Herbert von Karajan, Pierre Boulez, Riccardo Muti, and Sir Simon Rattle. In 1997, he gave a recital at the Art Tower Mito, since when 18 years have elapsed. The January 2016 recital will provide the Mito audience the opportunity to be reacquainted with this great Polish pianist.
