Ton Koopman Organ Recital

Making his appearance at Art Tower Mito after a long hiatus of 13 years - having first given an organ recital in 1995 and conducting the Mito Chamber Orchestra in 2003 - Ton Koopman, one of the world's leading performers of early music, will present another organ recital at Art Tower Mito. The supple and dynamic sound of his masterful organ performances - brimming with a playful spirit, as he adds flamboyant ornamentation to the melody while varying the tempo at will, thereby shaking up the music - conveys to us the allure of each piece as Koopman plays it, inviting us to experience a couple hours of joy.
