String Ensemble & Wind Band Seminar by MCO Members
for High School Students & Mini Concert

Public master classes led by MCO members for high school student ensembles selected as Ibaraki Prefecture's representatives at this summer's Shinshu Sobunsai 2018, to be held in mountainous Nagano Prefecture in central Honshu. The Sobunsai, which is a giant cultural festival for high school students from around the nation, is held in a different prefecture each year. In addition to the lessons, the MCO members will put on a miniature concert, which the public can listen to for free.

This fiscal year there will be two master classes: one for strings, aimed at the joint string orchestra composed of members from Katsuta High School, Tsuchiura Daiichi High School, and Namiki Secondary Education School, all prefectural schools (participating in the festival's instrumental and orchestral division), and another for wind instruments, with members from the brass band of Toride Seitoku Girls' High School (participating in the festival's brass band division).
