Mitsuko Uchida Piano Recital

Mitsuko Uchida (b. 1948), one of the foremost pianists of the modern era, justifiably stands at the pinnacle of her field. Although planners from concert halls around the world--not just in Japan--clamor to have her perform a recital on their premises, she has severely restricted her performances in terms of both location and frequency, leaving the wishes of most of those concert planners unfulfilled. Under such circumstances, her October 2018 recital at Art Tower Mito will be just her third one here, following earlier ones in 2011 and 2013. She has planned an all-Schubert program this time.
