“Lunch Break Classics” invites audiences to enjoy an hour of music in the middle of the day. This upcoming edition features Minako Tsukatani, a self-styled “Kenbanist” — a performer who moves freely among an extraordinary variety of keyboard instruments, centered around the pipe organ.

Like a musical toy box opened before your eyes, the stage will be filled with keyboard instruments, each with its own distinctive character: harpsichord, positive organ, grand piano, and even toy pianos! Audience members can also enjoy a pipe organ performance in the Entrance Hall before the concert begins.

Drawing on many years of performing in the Netherlands, Tsukatani brings both refined musicianship and a spirit of exploration to every instrument she touches. From beloved masterpieces by Bach to hidden gems by Silvestrov, the program offers a rich journey through the many possibilities of keyboard music. From the very first note to the final sound, this is an afternoon to lose yourself completely in music.
