"Hikari to, Soshite Ikutsuka no Mono (Das Licht und Etliches)"

October 18 (Fri.),1996,to November 03 (Sun.),1996

et al.

An enthusiastic new work by Mr. Juichiro Takeuchi, whose works so far -- "Ano
O-garasu Saemo(Even the raven)," "Himawari(Sunfiower)," and ''Tokyo Daibutsu
Shinju (Committing Shinju(Double Suicide) with the Tokyo Great Buddha)" -have
all trench antly and poetically described the psychological absurdities of
modem life. Mr. Takeuchi's new work consists of 11 dreamlike short tales inspired
by the work of the modem artist, Paul Klee. The seasons change and the locations
skip to the ends of the earth. The performers each make repeated appearances in
different forms -- male or female, young or old. The play also treats the theme of
death and rebirth .
