This school, led by a professional musical instructor, will give fourth to ninth graders a solid grounding in the basics of song, dance and performance. This year marks the seventh time that the school has been conducted. It has become one of the most popular programs offered by ACM Theatre, with many people clamoring to participate, not just from Mito but from outside the city as well. In the approximately ten-month period of the public performance course, the students will learn about all the aspects of making a musical production, capped by an on-stage performance held in March 2020 demonstrating the fruits of their hard work. There is also a short-term course lasting around three months in the middle of 2019, giving students a taste of what it is like to produce a musical, and allowing them to publicly present what they have learned.
